17 per cent of the general population have tried cannabis;

3 per cent report using it in the past month;

58 per cent of recent users were given cannabis by a family member, friend ... or among a group of friends;

79 per cent of people say it is either "very easy" or "fairly easy" to obtain cannabis within 24 hours;

27 per cent of people who have used cannabis say they used it regularly at some stage;

22 per cent of current users have used cannabis on a daily or almost daily basis

23 per cent of those who have used cannabis have stopped their previous use because they did not like the side-effects.
