Gardaí from the National Drugs Unit tonight said that the quantity of cannabis seized from a warehouse in west Dublin today was 1,500kgs with an estimated street value of €10.5 million.
Earlier gardaí has reported the haul to be in region of 1,800kgs but after a complete examination of all boxes the quantity was found to be lower.
Gardaí, accompanied by Customs officials, found the cannabis resin packed in boxes on pallets described as "notepads".
The haul originated from Spain and had arrived by ferry into Dublin Port. Gardaí said no arrests were made and the investigation was ongoing.
