Racing:Paul Carberry was forced to miss his three intended mounts at Naas this afternoon after failing a breathalyser test.
The on-course stewards received a report from Al Guy, a doping control officer, that Carberry had failed an alcohol breath test prior to racing.
The stewards subsequently suspended Carberry from riding for the day and referred the matter to the Referrals Committee of the Irish Turf Club.
Barry Geraghty, meanwhile, has picked up a 12-day ban after taking the wrong course approaching the home straight while on board one of the favourites, My Petra, at Wetherby this afternoon.
"I jumped to the front and was on the rail and before I knew it it was too late to get back on track," said Geraghty, whose ban will start from the paddy Power Gold Cup day.
"The sun was in my eyes, but look, I have no excuses, I walked the track this morning. There's no-one more disappointed than I am, to have lost a race like that, bit surreal really."
