Cardiff City were today charged by the Football Association of Wales following an investigation into the disturbing scenes of crowd trouble at their FA Cup third-round tie against Leeds United on January 6th.

Cardiff now face an FAW commission hearing into the incident, while their chairman, Sam Hammam, has been "formally written to" concerning his controversial pitch-side walkabouts during games.

Leeds, meanwhile, have not been charged by the English Football Association, but the club have been warned as to the future conduct of their supporters.
