Tens of thousands of hopefuls of people are expected to attend the Opportunites 2005 jobs fair in the Dublin over the next four days.
The jobs and careers advice exhibition in Croke Park Dublin, was officially opened by the Minister for Trade and Employment, Mr Martin, earlier today.
The event is organised by the national training and employment authority FÁS. At the official opening this morning, FÁS Director General, Mr Rody Molloy said "the leading players in the technology, services, education and training sectors" were in attendance.
Last year more than 70,000 prospective employees visited the exhibition.
Jobs on offer at this year's exhibition include positions with pharmaceutical and biotechnology company Genzyme, which is recruiting electrical and mechanical engineers, scientists and financial accountants.
In the IT sector, Intel is looking to fill positions in sales and marketing, research and development and engineering and manufacturing.
Both Dunnes Stores and Marks & Spencers are looking for 200 employees.
The event opened this morning, is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow and Sunday and opens between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday.
