A Belize-registered cargo ship has run aground of Kinsale Harbour, Co Cork.
The ship, the Seebrise, ran aground at 6.00 a.m. when the weather forced her onto the rocks.
Its crew of seven sailors are still on board, but a spokesman for the Irish coast guard said there was no danger to life.
Two tugs arrived from Cork and are currently attempting to pull the ship off the rocks during high tide.

The Coast Guard said there was a slight leakage of diesel but it is not serious.
