Louth football was dealt a blow today when senior manager Paddy Carr stepped down after two years in charge.
Carr released a statement this morning after apparently becoming disillusioned with the support and development of the game within the county.
He has since called on the Louth county board to invite an outside body to investigate the setup within the county.
County secretary Pat Toner said Carr's decision was regrettable and that he wanted to "convey sincere thanks" to the manager and his backroom team.
