Chelsea recall centre-half Ricardo Carvalho in place of German defender Robert Huth for tonight's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Bayern Munich at Stamford Bridge.

Manager Jose Mourinho, banned from the touchline and dressing room for both legs, reverts to a 4-4-2 formation with Eidur Gudjohnsen and Didier Drogba leading the attack.

Mourinho may be absent from the stadium - although some reports suggest he is at the ground - but he still manages to deliver a hard-hitting message in his programme notes.

The Chelsea coach believes he is being punished for saying what he thinks.

Mourinho said: "If I say what I feel in my soul, I will attract more headlines and more trouble. It is strange that in this industry, when you say what you feel and believe, you pay for it."

Bayern go into the game robbed of their two main strikers through injury. Despite claiming he was fit to face the Blues yesterday, Roy Makaay is included in their squad and Claudio Pizarro is out with a hamstring problem.

England international Owen Hargreaves is given a starting place in the midfield while Hasan Salihamidzic and Paolo Guerrero lead the attack.
