ICTU leaders today will face a call to recommend a No vote in the coming Treaty of Nice referendum from one of the country's biggest unions, reports Mark Hennessy, Political Reporter. However, the ICTU General Secretary, Mr Peter Cassells, will oppose the proposal from the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers' Union.

Last night, an ICTU spokesman said Mr Cassells supported the Yes campaign because the treaty will help to offer better working conditions to workers in countries waiting to join the EU.
