Moscow - Russian police have arrested a man from the Caucasus region who they believe to be behind last week's Moscow bombing which killed 12 people and injured 120. The Caucasian was arrested during a search by police, who found traces of explosives on his hands, the prosecutor's office said. Nine of the wounded are still in a serious condition.
Four Chechens in possession of explosives at a university building in Kazan, east of Moscow, were arrested on Monday. Police said yesterday they had seized 2.5 tons of explosives.
