Rugby:Ulster coach Brian McLaughlin named his squad ahead of Friday's Magners League trip away to Treviso with several academy players set to feature in place of some injured regulars.

The South African pair of Johann Muller (neck) and Robbie Diack (ankle) picked up injuries during last Sunday’s win away to Cardiff, which paves the way for Neil McComb and academy players Niall Annett and Ali Birch.

In the backs, Darren Cave returns to the squad after recovering from the hamstring injury he picked up during the Heineken Cup clash with Aironi last month.

In the longer term, Ulster will be without their captain Rory Best for up to six weeks after the hooker fractured a cheekbone when on Ireland duty against the All Blacks last weekend.
