Celtic supporters have been left furious by the Scottish Football Association's decision to allocate them the same amount of tickets as Hibernian for the Scottish Cup final.

Both teams have been given 22,000 tickets while other clubs and Cup sponsors Tennent's will be given the remaining 8,000.

But Celtic supporters' chief Peter Rafferty insists the SFA are being unfair and thousands of Hoops fans will miss out on the tie on May 26th.

"We played against Hampden at Kilmarnock in the CIS Cup final and Dundee United in the Scottish Cup semi-final and, without our support the place would have been half-empty.

"We're being picked on. We're the best-supported club in Scotland we fill away grounds and we pack our own stadium. That should be taken into consideration.

"It might sound selfish but we are providing Scottish football with revenue and it's only fair to our fans that our needs should be taken into account.

"We have nearly 60,000 fans, so we'll get around one ticket for every three supporters.

"Hibs have an average of around 12,000. That means that they will get two for every one fan.

"It's not a fair ratio and it makes it hard for so many genuine Celtic supporters who won't get to the game."
