Celtic completed the signings of Scandinavian duo Magnus Hedman and Ulrik Laursen this afternoon.
Sweden goalkeeper Hedman has signed a four year contract with the Scottish champions while Denmark defender Laursen arrived at Celtic from SPL rivals Hibernian on a five-year deal.
The pair are avaliable for Saturday's first match of the SPL season where Celtic start the defence of their title at home to Dunfermline.
They are also eligible for the Glasgow giants' Champions League qualifying clashes with either Swiss outfit FC Basle or Slovakians Zilina.
Hedman, 29, said: "It's a great honour to sign for Celtic. This move will give me a tremendous opportunity in my playing career and I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead."
Laursen, 26, added: "I'm delighted to have joined. I hope to be able to play my part in bringing continued success to the club."
The duo, whose transfer fees are yet to be confirmed, are the latest new faces at Parkhead following the arrival of 1 million pounds Livingston striker David Fernandez.
Celtic boss Martin O'Neill said: "We are pleased to have secured the signings of two players who I think can make a great contribution to the club.
"It was important that we added to our squad and I'm sure that both Ulrik and Magnus will prove to be quality additions."
