Scottish champions Celtic beat Hibernian 3-0 in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park today to wrap-up the domestic Treble.

Manager Martin O'Neill, in his first season in charge at Parkhead, landed the club's first Treble since Jock Stein was in charge at the Glasgow giants in 1969.

Jackie McNamara opened the scoring for Celtic, running on to a neatly-played through ball from Frenchman Didier Agathe to slip the ball past Hibs keeper Nick Colgan.

Swedish international Henrik Larsson scored his 52nd goal of the season when he was presented with a loose ball in the box and turned and blasted the ball high past Colgan.

Larsson scored again from the penalty spot in the 80th minute after he was pulled down on his way towards goal.

O'Neill paid tribute to his players.

"I thought they were brilliant from start to finish," said the Celtic manager.

He told Sky Sports: "It wasn't going to be for lack of trying.

"It's been a long season and I thought (Chris) Sutton, who hasn't played a competitive game for a while, was absolutely essential for us.

"But to mention one player is wrong because they were all absolutely immense."
