The Jim Bolger-trained Chabal will run his last race for the Irishman on Saturday when he features in the Jumeirah Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket. Lady O’Reilly’s two-year-old Galileo colt has been sold to Godolphin and will transfer to the Dubai stables after the race, in which Bolger is seeking his fourth successive win.

Godolphin spokesman Simon Crisford confirmed the move to The Irish Timesthis morning, saying: "We have been able to do a deal on Chabal who will run in the Dewhurst in his current ownership.

“After that he will switch to Godolphin.”

Chabal has run just twice in a fledgling career and was most recently second in the National Stakes at the Curragh to the Kevin Prendergast-trained Kingsfort - a horse also bought by Godolphin last month.
