Chelsea chairman Ken Bates has dismissed suggestions that the Blues may pull out of next week's UEFA Cup trip to face Hapoel Tel Aviv.
Veteran midfielder Gianfranco Zola has been quoted as saying that the players will discuss the situation after tomorrow's clash with Leicester.
But Bates insists the current international crisis regarding Afghanistan and tensions in the Middle East will not deter his side from travelling.
"As far as we're concerned, we're governed by UEFA regulations and UEFA has said the game goes ahead and Israel is safe," Bates told Sky Sports News.
"I will certainly be going and I think that Israel is probably the safest place in the world to be at the moment, considering their security arrangements.
"Colin (Hutchinson, managing director) went out there last week and had conversations with all the security authorities and is quite relaxed.
"In any case, somebody once wrote that a coward dies a thousand times and a brave man dies but once, well I'm going to take the chance and be a brave man.
"I think that we have to go about our business, because if we don't the terrorists have won."
