Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini will not have to serve a suspension following his red card against Middlesbrough, an English FA appeal hearing ruled today.
Cudicini was dismissed after an apparent clash with Dean Windass during the FA Cup third round tie between the two clubs at Stamford Bridge on January 4th.
The FA hearing ruled that Cudicini's red card should stand, but decided that the dismissal was punishment enough and he is therefore no longer facing a three-match ban.
