Chili Peppers to play hot June gig in Dublin

More than 100,000 people are expected to attend a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in Phoenix Park in June

More than 100,000 people are expected to attend a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in Phoenix Park in June. MCD said the band would play the Dublin venue on June 12th and tickets would go on sale on Monday at 8 a.m.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers were the biggest-selling rock band in this country this year and have sold more albums and tickets here, per capita, than anywhere else in the world.

Last year, the band played at Slane Castle. Tickets for that concert sold out in two-and-a-half hours. Some 135,000 people attended the Robbie Williams concert in Phoenix Park last August and similar numbers are expected for the Chili Peppers.
