Chip designer Parthus Technologies is to cut jobs when it streamlines two product lines as part of its merger with Ceva.
It is believed the company will be seeking voluntary redundancies over the next few weeks. Up to 40 jobs will be cut at the company's Dublin plant, it was reported.
The reduction in workforce and the related realignment of resources is expected to result in a one-off restructuring charge of $3 million during the third quarter.
Parthus employs 350 people worldwide, including 180 in Dublin, Cork and Limerick.
