The Church of Ireland is to review its policies on refuge in all its churches throughout the State following the events in St Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin last week.
A spokeswoman for the cathedral, which reopens to tourists today, said the seven-day protest by 41 Afghans had been a "huge learning curve for everyone".
At a meeting yesterday it was agreed that the board of St Patrick's would meet next Monday to review policies at St Patrick's Cathedral and other churches.
The spokeswoman said a balance had to be struck between pastoral care and the level of responsibility the church could assume for vulnerable people.
