Magners League:Nick Williams of Munster and Leinster's Stanley Wright have been cited for alleged foul play during the Magners League semi-final between the two provinces at the RDS last weekend.
For Wright, it means the prospect of missing out on the Magners League final against Ospreys on May 29th, if he is found to have breached law 10.4 (A) when allegedly throwing a punch at Munster’s Alan Quinlan in the 25th minute of the 16-6 win.
Williams has been cited under law 10.4 (B) for an alleged stamp on Jonathan Sexton in the 20th minute of the game.
If Wright’s citing is upheld in any way the prop will miss the final against the Ospreys given that it is just two weeks after the Munster game and a fortnight is the minimum sanction for striking an opponent.
The hearings will take place at 2.30pm (Williams) and 4.00pm (Wright) tomorrow at Ravenhill in front of an IRFU panel comprising Hugh Logan (chair), Stephen Hilditch and Neil Jackson.
