ICON, the north Dublin inner city anti drugs campaign group, said last night it was setting up an "incident room" at the former fire station in Buckingham Street to seek witnesses to an alleged assault on two of its members. Mr Jimmy Mulhall and his son, Denis, were brought to Fitzgibbon Street Garda Station on Tuesday night after being arrested during an anti drugs protest.

Mr Mulhall had severe bruising to the face when he appeared last night before members of the media. A spokesman for ICON, Mr Fergus McCabe, said complaints will be made against individual gardai involved in the arrests of the Mulhalls. Mr Mulhall said he had no political involvement of any kind and was only concerned with the anti drugs movement in the north inner city.
