A total of 42 civil servants are to move to Cahirciveen, home town of Mr John O'Donoghue, the Minister for Justice, to the new head office of the Legal Aid Board. The transfer will probably begin sometime in 2002.
Staff will transfer gradually "to avoid any disruption to the important work carried on by the Legal Aid Board" and to ensure that a core of experienced people are at all times available to the board, according to a spokesman for the Department of Justice.
