GAA: Clare's reward for beating Dublin on Saturday is a meeting with neighbours Limerick in the third phase of the All-Ireland hurling qualifiers. This morning's draw pitted the Munster rivals against each other while Cork will take on Wexford.
Both matches will take place next Saturday with the venues and times to be confirmed later today.
After Saturday’s 1-16 to 0-16 win over Dublin, Clare coach Davy Fitzgerald expressed his concern that the vast amount of energy spent would leave them wounded ahead of another win-or-bust scenario.
“I’m emphasising this is still a process, we are far from the finished article,” said an ebullient Fitzgerald late Saturday night. “I am very concerned about how much time they have between this and the next one. Very concerned.
“There is a team who have an extra week whereas we are on a high at the moment, we have to come back down after a game like that. Get our injuries right so we’ll get no training in this week.”
