Darren Clarke trails leader Adam Scott by four shots going into today's final round of the Deutsche Bank Open at Tournament Players Club of Boston, Norton, Massachusetts.
The Dungannon man shot a third round 67 to move 11 under par alongside Geoff Ogilvy. Clarke broke even on the front nine, shooting two bogies and two birdies but enjoyed a far more profitable run in, hampered only by one bogey.
Round of the day went to Jonathan Kaye with a 63, one off Scott's course record shot the previous day. Indeed had Kaye not bogeyed the eighth he would have shared that record with the Australian but as it stands Kaye remains three shots behind the youngster.
Scott himself reverted back to regular scoring with a 67, largely helped by an eagle on the second. Two consecutive bogies followed on the back nine but a brace of birdies on the front and back saw his card right.
A trio of players lurking on 10 under includes Rocco Mediate, K.J Choi and Tim Herron with Fijian Vijay Singh and Steve Flesch a shot further back.
