THE LAUNCH of the Top Gearlive roadshow was never going to be without its stunts and Jeremy Clarkson and his crew lived up to expectations crossing London's Tower Bridge in a tank, flanked by a Ferrari and an Aston Martin.

Irish fans of the BBC's motoring show will get the chance to see their heroes, complete with stunts, supercars, and even elusive driver The Stig, when the show comes to the RDS in November.

The Top Gear Live Show, produced by the BBC, will visit Dublin before calling at 30 other cities between November and 2011.

Starting in London on October 30th, it will visit Dublin at the RDS from November 27th to 30th. Throughout the weekend there will be 10 live shows, with four shows on the Saturday.

Clarkson has promised to make similar grand entrances in each city, "hopefully to irritate as many motorists as possible", so don't be surprised to see him hanging from a tank on the West-Link, making his way to the RDS.

The live indoor shows will feature several stunt displays, such as a soccer match using cars and Top Gear'sanonymous racing driver, The Stig, battling a new addition to the team called Swampy. Visitors will be able to vote on the Cool Wall and participate in a collective virtual lap of the Top Geartest track.

"This is a chance for three middle-aged men to act like rock stars in million of pounds' worth of cars," said Clarkson. "We plan on putting big engines in double-decker buses and taxis and perform doughnuts and we also plan to build our own hovercrafts," Richard Hammond added.

Alongside the live show there will be an exhibition featuring cars from the major motoring brands. Brown Thomas limited edition tickets go on sale tomorrow and cost €100.

General release tickets, priced from €75, go on sale on September 10th.
