Washington - The US President, Mr Clinton, will visit Vietnam in November, the first US president to do so since the Vietnam war ended 25 years ago. In what will be one of the final trips of his presidency, Mr Clinton will include Vietnam on to a trip to south-east Asia for a summit of Asia Pacific leaders.
Trade and US servicemen missing since the war are among the issues which Mr Clinton will cover with Vietnamese leaders, said White House spokesman Mr Joe Lockhart.
