British band Coldplay have announced they will play a 40,000 capacity concert in Dublin’s Phoenix Park next year.
Coldplay have sold over 40 million albums over their decade-long career. Their latest album Viva
La Vida or Death And All His Friendswas released last June and reached number one in 36 countries, including Ireland, the UK and the US.
The band are playing two concerts at the newly-renovated O2 venue later this month. Tickets for these shows sold out within minutes of going on sale.
Tickets for the September 14th, 2009 Phoenix Park gig, which is subject to licence, go on sale next Monday morning priced €76.50, including booking fee.
