Andy Cole this evening completed his transfer from Manchester United to Blackburn Rovers by signing a three and a half year contract with the Ewood Park side.
The two clubs agreed an as yet undisclosed fee for the 30 year old this morning and Cole passed a medical test and agreed personal terms in the afternoon. He is now expected to make his debut for Blackburn in the New Year Day’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
Cole has scored four goals in 12 Premiership appearances for United this season, but had openly expressed his frustration at his irregular starts and was eager to leave Old Trafford, where he has spent seven successful seasons, in order to push for a place in England’s squad for next summer’s World Cup.
