Racing: Colnel Rayburn, who was pulled up in the John Smith's Grand National, is likely to have a confidence-boosting run over hurdles at the Punchestown Festival.
The 10-year-old was always in the rear at Aintree last weekend and made several mistakes before jockey John Cullen took him out of the race on the second circuit.
"We settled him out the back so he could get the trip but he didn't jump well enough to get himself into it," said trainer Paul Nolan.
"He got into about 10th place jumping the Canal Turn before he was pulled up but he got very tired and it looks like he didn't see out the last half mile.
"We will enter him for a handicap hurdle at the Punchestown Festival and if the ground is soft enough he will run there. If not, we will wait for next season.
"On the basis of his last run he doesn't seem to be a National type of horse and his jumping seems to have gone to pieces. We will have to go back to the drawing board and try to get his confidence back."
