Comedian Jim Davidson, a Tory campaigner, arrived at Central Office shortly after 5 a.m. and expressed puzzlement at the outcome of the election.
"I'm just scratching my head thinking `am I part of this country now?' Everyone else has voted for Tony Blair - I must be absolutely out of touch. Mind you, only 40 per cent voted for him," he said.
Mr Davidson said it was wrong to think of Labour's victory as a landslide. "It was a swing to us; it's not a landslide to them."
