After stealing the show at last year's Murphy's Ungagged comedy festival, ace deadpan US comic Steven Wright (right) returns for an encore at the Olympia Theatre, tomorrow night. Possessing more killer one-liners than most of his contemporaries put together, Wright doesn't just contain himself to delivering strings of non sequiturs but also includes more narrative-based material in his set. A lot of his appeal may be down to his delivery, but his material can be pretty dynamite too. Wright started in comedy due to some memorable appearances on the Johnny Carson show from where he moved into other television work on Saturday Night Live, but he has expanded his career to take in films also. A class act, don't miss him.
