London - Commuters on two trains had a narrow escape yesterday after a crash was narrowly avoided at a busy city centre station.
The driver of a packed early morning train from Margate to Cannon Street in London was forced to brake when he realised he was on a collision course with another train bound for west London which was just leaving on the same track a few minutes before 9 a.m. A crash was averted but one coach on the outbound train came off the track.
