The Minister for the Environment, Mr Noel Dempsey, today launched a computer game which is designed to help encourage employee's participation in training at work.
The SalvusOne CD-ROM was launched at the Meath County Enterprise Board in Navan.
Developed by Jim Duff & Associates, with digital media expertise from Deloitte & Touche, the programme uses the traditional bingo game to encourage workers to get training in health and safety, quality control and environmental management.
Many of the countries major health and safety and environmental organisations attended today's launch. "It was received very well," said Mr Peter Nolan of Deloitte & Touche.
"We had a demonstration of the programme on several PCs. Jim Duff went through an overview of it," said Mr Nolan.
The SalvusOne programme also looks like it is going to be a success beyond Ireland. "I think it's primarily going to be exported. There is a lot of interest in it," said Mr Nolan.
