Cycling:I suppose there is no fear of seeing Brian Lenihan pedalling his way into Dáil Éireann? This idea of urging people to cycle to work must give a sour taste to the many workers who had to move to distant places, such as Mullingar, Gorey, Athlone and various parts of Co Meath. They are to be penalised for bringing their cars into the city - but what else can they do with them? Cycling is not an option, and it is becoming more and more expensive to run a car. A decent bus service would be a great help, especially if it was connected to a park-and-ride system. What became of the 200 buses that were to be given to Dublin Bus how long ago? - Mabel
Companies not paying for Christmas parties
Being a government employee myself, I have never had a party paid for by my employer; nor have I ever received a Christmas bonus. Not even a cup of coffee is provided. This will not affect me.

Selling electricity
Why is nobody pushing the ESB about "buy back" rates? I am referring to the ability of end-users to generate their own electricity and sell it to the ESB. Anecdotally, in Germany, households that generate their own electricity are paid more by the utility companies than they are charged for using the utilities' electricity.
