Aldi:Their stuff is of mixed quality. For example, Aldi do two ranges of carton fruit juice; the concentrate stuff is questionable, but the not-from-concentrate is really nice. - Gavin
Petrol/Diesel prices:
Tell John to come to Galway - petrol seems to be overpriced within a 10-mile radius of the city (last time I checked, petrol in Co Limerick was 5 cent per litre cheaper than Galway), re-introducing the expected differential with diesel.

Supermarket shopping:I'm what techies call an "early adopter" - recently I've noticed that I no longer do a big shop in one supermarket. Instead, I shop in five or six different places, for fish, bread, vegetables, meat, etc. I notice others beginning to do the same thing. The supermarkets should take their money while they can get it, because their customers are going to drain away. - Suan
3g modems:I have been using the 3 modem for almost two months now and to say I'm disappointed would be putting it mildly. Over 50 per cent of the time, my dial-up connection was faster than 3's so-called broadband, and was constant too. I've been connected to the 3 network at times, with no traffic on the line and my PC just frozen. Try to complain and you get some individual in India who doesn't understand what you're saying. Like other contributors, I've tried to speak to a supervisor, but they don't seem to want to deal with the public. 3 offered broadband of up to 3.6mbps, but most of the time I get less than 1mbps, and often less than 0.75mbps. Just as well I don't need this for work . - Brendan
