Cork are expected to appeal the bans handed to three of their players on Monday night but face a race against time to have the trio cleared ahead of Sunday's Munster semi-final with Waterford.
As it stands, Donal Og Cusack, Diarmuid O'Sullivan and Sean Og O hAilpin will miss the clash at Semple Stadium but the Cork county board are understood to be preparing an appeal to the Central Appeals Committee (CAC).
While Cork have yet to confirm their plan of action, an appeal could be heard by the CAC tomorrow night, and if successful all three would be available to manager Gerard McCarthy for Sunday.
McCarthy has left the three, banned for a month for their part in ugly pre-match scenes with Clare hurlers last month, out of his starting line-up but has yet to give up on their involvement.
