Although no further developments emerged tonight regarding the impasse within Cork GAA circles, a report on negotiations from the last 24 hours is expected to be given to both Cork hurling and football panels tonight.
GAA director general Páraic Duffy and Kieran Mulvey travelled to Cork yesterday before becoming engaged in discussions lasting nearly 10 hours in an attempt to resolve the ongoing dispute between senior players and the Cork County Board.
Although no solution has be presented yet it is said both parties made significant compromises with both interests set to gain considerably if what was proposed is accepted.
