It was a comprehensive win in 2hr 39min for the 27-year-old Corretja, who reached his only other Grand Slam final here three years ago beforegoing down in straight sets to compatriot Carlos Moya.
"The first set was very difficult for both of us, but I felt in the second that I was on top of him mentally and that he was a little bit discouraged. He just didn't have the same confidence of the other day," said Corretja.
"I played a good match out there, but I watched Guga's game and he played very, very well."
