Matt Williams received a welcome boost today with the news that Leinster captain Reggie Corrigan was given the all-clear to play in the Heineken Cup semi-final against Perpignan on Sunday.

The influential skipper has been out of action since he broke his wrist against Italy during Ireland's Six Nations campaign.

Corrigan has been able to participate in training and should be named in the team when announced tomorrow.

However, it remains unclear if centre Shane Horgan will win the race to be fit for the game. Unless 100 per cent it is unlikely Williams will take a chance on Horgan who has been plagued with a thigh injury since Ireland's clash with Scotland in the Six Nations.
