THE COUNCIL will spend €35 million over a 10-year period to deliver the social housing element of the Inchicore housing complex - 137 social units will be built in two phases, the first starting in 2010. Land will later be marketed to the private sector for 450 homes, which will include 20 per cent social and affordable housing.

The council will spend €32 million over a 10-year period to deliver the social housing element of the site near the Phoenix Park in Dublin 7, where 200 social and affordable units will be built, starting in 2011. Land will later be marketed to the private sector for 300 homes.

Dominick Street

The council will spend €27 million over a 10-year period on this north inner-city street, where 120 social units will be built, starting in 2011. Land will later be marketed to the private sector for 104 homes.

The council said it is continuing with PPPs at the following sites:

Mountainview Court

A preferred bidder has been selected.

Bridgefoot Street

Council is considering revised bids.

Charlemont Street

The council intends to go out to tender in three months.

St Teresa's Gardens

Three bidders remain interested.
