All four Dublin local authorities are providing for the disposal of Christmas trees from this weekend. The trees will be chipped and used as a mulch in park gardens and open spaces. Most local authorities are allowing the public to deposit trees from today until the middle of the month.
Dublin Corporation is accepting trees on the northside at St Anne's Park, Raheny; Albert College Park, Glasnevin; Mellowes Park, Finglas; Nephin Park, Cabra; Coolock Cleansing Depot and Brickfield Park in Crumlin.
The locations accepting trees on the southside are: Markievicz Park, Ballyfermot; Ringsend Park; Bushy Park, Terenure; Herbert Park, Ballsbridge and the Rathmines cleansing depot.
South Dublin County Council is accepting trees at Esker Lodge, Beechpark open space, Sarsfield Park and Hillcrest open space, all in Lucan. In Palmerstown: Woodfarm Acres open space and Glenaulin Park. In Clondalkin trees should be left at Corkagh Park; Monksfield open space, Collinstown Park, Quarryvale Park, Foxdene open space; Grand Canal open space (beside Bawnogue and Lockview Road), St Cuthbert's Park and Cherrywood Crescent.
In Tallaght trees should be left at McGee Park (rear of Raheen Shopping Centre), Killinarden open space and at Tree Park Road, Kilnamanagh.
The other South Dublin County Council locations are at: Tymon Park, Greenhills; Glen down in Templeogue; Brady's Field open space and Old Bawn Way open space in Old Bawn; Knocklyon Woods in Firhouse; Rathfarnham Castle Park and the parks depot on Mill Lane in Saggart.
Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is collecting at the FAS site at Loughlinstown; Cabinteely car-park; Hyde Park playing field in Dalkey; Mount Anville parks depot; Woodpark in Sallynoggin; Marley Park in Rathfarnham; Ballawley Park in Dundrum; Eden Park car-park in Glasthule.
Fingal County Council is collecting at Ardgillan Castle parks depot; Bath Road car-park, Balbriggan; South Strand lay-by in Skerries; Hayestown depot in Rush; Ball Alley car-park, Lusk; Turvey parks depot, Swords; Outlands Parks Depot, Swords; the Square, Donabate; the Brook, Portrane; Malahide Castle parks depot; Kinsealy Court, Kinsealy; the Banks car-park, Malahide; Seagrange Park, Baldoyle; Sutton Park; Harbour Car Park, Howth; Auburn Avenue/Castleknock open space; the parks depot in Coolmine Industrial Estate; Castleknock Rise, Laurel Lodge; Cherryfield Park, Hartstown; Corduff Park, Blanchardstown; Blakestown Road/Blakestown Way Junction, Whitestown; Buzzardstown Lane/Church Road junction, Mulhuddart and Littlepace roundabout, Clonee.
