A man and his wife were remanded in custody at a special court in Craigavon when they appeared on an arms charge

A man and his wife were remanded in custody at a special court in Craigavon when they appeared on an arms charge. Mr Martin Anthony Corden (32), unemployed, and Ms Majella Catherine Corden (29), housewife, of Lake Street, Lurgan, are charged with possessing two rifles, one shotgun, two handguns, one short machine-gun, ammunition and magazines with intent to endanger life or cause serious injury to property.

Magistrate Mr Ken Nixon remanded them in custody to Lisburn Magistrates Court at the Maze prison on May 6th. Later in the High Court in Belfast, Ms Corden was released on bail and her husband's application was refused.
