A Dublin publican and his wife have promised a judge not to use an alleged "cross-dressing club", only yards from the Four Courts, as a brothel. The undertaking was given before Judge Michael White in the Circuit Civil Court by Mr Brian and Ms Helaine Winters, of Leopardstown Gardens, Foxrock, Dublin, in respect of 36-37 Lower Ormond Quay extending into 33-34 Great Strand Street, Dublin.

Mr Brian O'Moore SC, counsel for the landlords, Deep Drill Developments Ltd, told the court his clients had reason to believe the club was being used as a brothel. Mr O'Moore, who appeared with Mr Paul O'Neill, said the premises included a "tiger room" and a dungeon. The landlords are seeking possession of the premises. The couple's counsel, Mr Frank Callanan SC, said they denied all allegations against them.
