The trial of the alleged leader of the "Real IRA", Mr Michael McKevitt, will take at least four weeks, the Special Criminal Court was told yesterday by prosecuting council, Mr George Birmingham. Mr McKevitt made a brief appearance in court.
Mr McKevitt's counsel, Mr Hugh Hartnett SC, said the defence had sought disclosure under 14 separate headings. The court remanded Mr McKevitt in custody until next Tuesday.
