The High Court has reserved judgment on an action for alleged negligence by St James's Hospital in the treatment of a 31-year-old man who died the day after he was admitted. His widow claims the hospital failed to locate a tumour and dismissed his complaints.
Ms Carol Wolfe (39), of O'Devanney Gardens, North Circular Road, Dublin, is suing on her own behalf and on behalf of a number of family members following the death of her husband, Joseph Wolfe, on November 11th, 1991.
The action is against the hospital and a consultant specialist, Dr Michael Buckley. The defence denies the claims.
