A man who forced the State to provide translations of recent law so that he could have a drink driving charge against him heard through Irish is also seeking a translation of the district court rules. Seamus O Beolain, Ard Choill Beithe, Tamhlacht, Baile Atha Cliath, is seeking a translation of the District Court rules under which a judge who hears the case will have to operate. The application is being opposed by the State prosecution service.

Yesterday in Dublin District Court, Judge Catherine Murphy adjourned the case for a month after being told the High Court is due to hear judicial review proceedings on the matter on June 8th.
