CHICAGO - US court rulings permitting doctors to assist with suicide could undermine the care of terminally ill people, according to a Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) study.
The US Supreme Court is expected to rule this year on two lower court rulings from 1996 which refused to distinguish between foregoing life-sustaining interventions for terminally ill people and actually assisting in the suicide of ill people.
