An Post gave the Irish cricket team its stamp of approval by waiving all charges on messages of congratulations sent to the squad in Jamaica. The team had a surprise win against cricket superpower Pakistan on St Patrick's Day as part of the Cricket World Cup.
As a sign of encouragement, An Post said it will deliver all letters and postcards free of charge to the team while they remain in the Caribbean. "It's just something we think is important to do given the significance of the team's performance so far," said company spokesman Richard Ryan.
An Post are also cheering on one of their own workers in the squad, Kenny Carroll, a postman in Glenageary in south Dublin.
People who want to send their best wishes at no cost are asked to post a letter or postcard to: Irish Cricket Team, PO Box 2007, Dublin 1. They must be posted - at any postbox or post office throughout the country - before Thursday evening.
"We will fly the letters out on Friday morning and have them couriered to the team hotel," said Mr Ryan.
"We will continue to send out messages of support free of charge for as long as they're in the competition," he said.
