Bike-riding gunman shoots Dublin resident outside his house

Injured man taken to Beaumont Hospital with non life-threatening injuries

A man aged 32 was shot and injured by a lone male on a bicycle in Dublin this afternoon.

The man was leaving his house at Belcamp Grove, Priorswood, at about 3.45pm when the male on the bike approached. He sustained gunshot injuries in the front garden.

The gunman is believed to have been wearing a hooded top and have come in the direction of the Link Road.

The injured man was taken to Beaumont Hospital with injuries described as non life-threatening. The gunman escaped.

Gardaí have preserved the scene for a technical examination.

They wish to appeal for witnesses who were in area around the time of the shooting or to anyone who can assist with the investigation to contact Coolock Garda station on 01-6664200, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
